The Easter sun is shining and it’s time to think about how you are going to make the most of this glorious weekend.

Horniman Museum

With stunning views of London from the museum’s leafy grounds and a whole host of activities for the kids, the Horniman is the perfect destination for a Spring weekend.

The museum is running an Easter Egg hunt where kids can meet a host of bunnies and help make a rabbit hay feeder while the adults browse the arts and craft market.

Country/folk group Elvers will be playing their latest tunes on the Sunday at 1.30pm and 3pm.

The Horniman Easter Fair runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. It is free of charge. No booking required.

Dulwich Picture Gallery

Designed by Sir John Soane in 1811 the Bijou Gallery displays a small but outstanding collection of work by the likes of Rubens, Poussin and Gainsborough.

It also has a programme of temporary exhibitions, live events and a cute café.

Based in Peckham this modern art gallery is currently running an exhibition entitled Welcome To Iraq.

The exhibition features a variety of media by 11 contemporary artists, most of whom live and work in Iraq.

They were selected to highlight the breadth of artistic practice in Iraq during extraordinarily difficult circumstances.

The Green Chain Link is an unexpected delight in the capital, providing people with access to many of south-east London’s outdoor spaces and overflowing with wildlife including foxes, voles, squirrels, woodpeckers, and jays.
