An unemployed Catford man has been charged with setting fire to his neighbours' house - less than 24 hours after a previous blaze at the property.
David Armitt, 53 and Derek Pooley, 42, had a lucky escape from a fire at their Further Green Road house early on April 9 and ended up staying with friends.
But, while the house was empty, another fire broke out there later that evening.
Daniel Baker, 29, has now been charged over the second fire with arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on April 11.
Baker was remanded in custody and will appear at Woolwich Crown Court tomorrow (April 17).
