Students with learning disabilities have graduated from a year-long gardening course and gained a horticulture qualification.
The Bromley Council project, called Thyme Out Too, helped trainees get to grips with gardening activities - with the view to improve job prospects and teach new skills.
Last week 25 trainees and 10 volunteers attended a ceremony at Bromley Civic Centre to receive their City and Guilds qualifications.
The Mayor of Bromley, councillor Ernest Noad, said: “Increasing the independence of people with learning disabilities is important to the council and the new scheme will help provide people in the borough with lasting skills needed for new opportunities.”
Thyme Out Too is now recruiting prospective students to enrol on the next course, which starts on Monday April 21. For more details contact 0208 313 4057
