Cutty Sark has announced a string of summer events to keep families entertained when the sunny weather finally arrives.

People of all ages are invited to help make ship hats on June 7 and 8 from 11.30am to 1.30pm and 2pm to 4pm in the Sammy Ofer Gallery and below deck.

Everyone is invited to join the clipper’s chef James Robson to sing songs, learn sailor skills and find out what sailors had for dinner on board.

This event takes place on 7 June at 11am, noon, 1.30pm and 2.30pm on the main deck.

Families can also meet Captain Woodget, the longest serving master, to learn about life on board the fastest tea clipper.

This takes place on June 1, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 11am, noon, 1.30pm and 2.30pm in the Sammy Ofer Gallery and below deck.

Cutty Sark is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday.

Family tickets are priced at £24 (one adult and two children) or £35 (two adults and up to two children).
