Visitors to the Horniman Museum can now go on a new kind of adventure thanks to a mobile app.

From Wednesday, five to eight-year-olds will be able to use the Time Tremors app to select different missions and quests around the Forest Hill museum’s buildings and gardens.

Players are given clues to help them search for six objects on each of the quests.

Museum head of learning Georgina Pope said: “We have an amazing number of objects and specimens on display and it’s easy to overlook lots of brilliant things.

“This app might well lead you to discover something entirely new at the Horniman.”

The first mission, Finding Faces, is now free to download.

Subsequent missions – Big and Small, Bone Hunt and Time Teasers cost 69p.
