Free parking in Bexleyheath over Easter

News Shopper: Free parking in Bexleyheath over Easter Free parking in Bexleyheath over Easter

Drivers can enjoy free parking in Bexleyheath town centre for free on Easter Saturday (April 19).

This will mean there will be five council car parks which can be used free of charge for the whole weekend.

The Council and the BID have joined together to waive fees for a day to help businesses over the busy Easter period.

Cabinet member for environment and public realm, Councillor Gareth Bacon said: "I am delighted that we have been able to work with the BID again to enable them to provide free parking.

"This latest arrangement gives visitors to town centre four days of free parking. Bexleyheath offers a great local place to shop and be entertained.

"We hope to see lots of people taking advantage of the free parking available and making the most of their local businesses."

But has Gareth Bacon told the traffic wardens?. I remember the time the police were called, then it was free parking. Because Bexley Council forgot to inform its parking contractor!.

But is this true?, as many lies come out of Bexley Council. Could Bexley Council has a department, that manufacture lies?.

smacks of desperation to me! seeing as the moronic council has contributed to a dramatic drop in 'footfall',with their year long road disruption creating 'shared spaces'. You know their motto 'If it's old ,smash it up'

It's a trap. I smell a trap big time, the corporate wardens are gonna spring on the unsuspecting motorist. lol Remember folks you can avoid the fine as you don't have to agree to it. It's an ACT and needs your consent.

Hang on a minuite, I seem to remember a story in the NS about Bexley Wardens happily issuing tickets on an allegedly "Free Parking Day" sometime last year.
