Young Lewisham artists decked out a New Cross art gallery with their work inspired by modern masters such as Picasso.
Painters and sculptors aged two-and-a-half to four years old, from Headstart Nursery and Preschool, in Belmont Hill, picked up their paint brushes for the exhibition at Harts Lane Gallery.
The talented youngsters’ work came from weekly art sessions with Goldsmith’s student Aaron Bosansko who taught them to express themselves through art.
The pre-schoolers drew inspiration from artists such as Salvador Dali, Damien Hurst and Picasso for their work which has been made into a book.
Headstart Nursery manager Beverly Hallett said: "I was introduced to the idea that children stopped being artists because they are shown perfect, stylised drawings in colouring books which they quickly realised they could not reproduce.
"As someone who understands the value of creative practice on children’s learning - gaining confidence, helping to express feelings, developing a sense of identity and individuality and of course learning new skills - this saddens me.
"So, when Aaran Bosansko came to my attention, I leapt at the opportunity to use his knowledge and skills."
