A man has been charged with conspiracy to burgle 13 Gravesend homes.

Ion Vaduva, 29, of St Peters Mews, Haringey, was arrested on suspicion of burglary on 8 February and charged with two burglary dwellings in Grange Road, Gravesend, allegedly committed on 6 February.

He was remanded in custody. Following further investigation by officers from North Kent Police Station he was produced from prison and rearrested on the 28 March after the Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charge of conspiracy to burgle more than a dozen properties nearby.

Vaduva is accused of conspiring to burgle properties in Cambrian Grove, Campbell Road, Havelock Road, Pelham Road, Lennox Avenue, Maritime Gate, Coulton Avenue, Dover Road East, Beaumont Drive, Grange Road, Park Avenue, Colyer Road and Clarence Place between 12 December last year and 8 February this year.

He remains in custody and will appear in court to answer the further charges on May 12.
