Flytippers have struck again and dumped a pile of household waste in Roman Villa Road, Dartford blocking the whole road.

Kent Highways have closed the length of the road from the junction at Darenth Hill to Holmesdale Hill.

Annoyed resident Julie Waters took this picture of the fly-tipping at 10.15pm last night and called 101 immediately to report the hazard.

Mrs Waters, 48, of Horton Road, Horton Kirby told News Shopper: "I was going to pick my son up from work and I use the lanes all the time as a cut through.

"I went up Roman Villa Road at 9.50pm and it was clear and by 10.15pm when I was returning I came across the mess.

"I just couldn't believe it. It is a real hazard and a problem we are seeing more and more of across north Kent.

"We are plagued by in this area. I don't know what the answer is but something has to be done."

The News Shopper reported last week how dumped a collection of bricks, tiles, a front door and ladder on Warren Road in causing a huge inconvenience to residents and drivers.
