A van belonging to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice which was stolen at the beginning of the month is still missing.

The Ford Transit Luton boxed van, registration number VN61 ZPR, was taken on Saturday, March 1 between 5.30pm and 9pm.

It was taken from the hospice's retail distribution centre at 12-15 Bellegrove Parade in Welling.

It was last seen by staff on Saturday, March 8 being driven down Bellegrove Parade in Welling.

A customer also reported that she had seen the van three times last week on the Garland Estate (off Garland Road) in Plumstead.

Police have been alerted and have put a marker on their systems.

The van has Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice printed across the side and across the front.

Betty Sorrell, head of retail at the charity, said the retail department are feeling the loss of the stolen van tremendously.

She added: "The theft could set the charity back £20,000 to replace the van with a second hand Luton van of the same size."

If you have any information about the theft please contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
