Free NHS app gets off to a flying start in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley
A smartphone app which has been piloted in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley has notched up more than 10,000 hits in its first three months.
The free NHS Health Help Now phone and web app was launched in December to help people find advice and services for different symptoms.
It has had more than 10,000 visits from nearly 6,500 users with the average use lasting three minutes and 47 seconds.
NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), helped pilot the app and it also currently covers north Kent, east Kent and Medway. Other parts of England are due to start using it soon.
GP Dr Bhaskar Bora, clinical chair of Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley CCG said: "This is excellent news.
"It shows the public has taken the app to its heart and is using it when help is needed."
It works on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers and suggests the most appropriate local health service at any time of the day or night.
