Woolwich enjoyed ‘the craic’ with a Paddy’s Day tea party and dance for around 300 guests.
There was dancing, costumes, Guinness and merriment at the annual celebrations of Irish Community Services (ICS) on Monday (March 17).
The festivities were held at Woolwich Town Hall with guests including the mayors of Greenwich and Bexley.
Director of ICS Ellen Stafford said: “It was absolutely fantastic.
“There was endless tea and biscuits. It was a really nice day.”
The ICS, for the Irish community in Greenwich, Bexley and Lewisham, are based in the Royal Arsenal and meet up every week as well as having outreach work and lunch clubs.
