Court no show for Dartford woman over Lewisham DLR inspector assault
A Dartford woman accused of assaulting a Deptford DLR train inspector failed to show up at court today (March 18).
Anna Powell, of London Road, was charged with common assault following the incident at Elverson Road station on September 25 last year.
A warrant was issued after the 20-year-old, previously of Footscray, Sidcup, failed to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on March 18.
The inspector allegedly asked a couple to remove their dog from the train's seats and challenged them to produce a ticket.
After asking the couple to leave the train, it is claimed he was then punched repeatedly in the head and shoulder.
Ms Powell also faces a charge of assault by beating at PRUH Hospital, in Farnborough, on February 23.
