The owner of an Orpington convenience store was hit over the head during an attempted robbery this morning (March 13).
Police were called to the Anbus convenience store, Station Road, at 5:30am.
Three men attempted to force their way into the store and hit the owner of the store over the head as they did so.
Pools of blood were left scattered across the entrance.
A 55-year-old man was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, suffering from a head injury.
Nothing was reported as stolen.
There have been no arrests and police enquiries continue.
