A Thamesmead woman has been taken to hospital by air ambulance following a house fire today (March 10).
The brigade were called out at 3.03pm to the fire in Lytham Close.
Crews from Plumstead and Erith wearing breathing apparatus rescued the woman from a second floor. She was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
A further three women and a child left the house before the brigade arrived and were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
The fire was under control and the scene handed over to police at 4.45pm.
