A Bexleyheath family has been left "broken-hearted" after their baby Shih Tzu was stolen.

The tiny puppy, named Rosali, managed to tunnel out of the King family’s garden in Halcot Avenue along with her mum Tiffany, aged 4.

Owner Rachel King, 38, was told by a neighbour that a blonde woman with a Staffie-type dog then picked up two-and-a-half-month-old Rosali and before walking off with her.

Rachel and her six children have been left "devastated" following the theft of the puppy, worth up to £400, at about 9am on February 20.

The sales consultant told News Shopper: "I’m absolutely gutted. Tiffany just walks around the garden looking for Rosali.

"She runs out into the garden as if she’s going to be there.

"I don’t care who’s picked her up and taken her I just want her back for the kids."

Rachel says eldest daughter Charlotte, 13, and her siblings have put up more than 50 ‘have you seen?’ posters in the area.

She added: "That’s all they have been doing for a solid week. My youngest daughter Rachel, 3, has been asking the others ‘can you go and find my Rosali?’"

Rachel’s mum Janet Oxlade, 65, lives in nearby Grazely Close and the retired bus driver is fuming with whoever has taken her grandchildren’s favourite pet.

The retired bus driver said: "They are absolutely devastated over it.

"They printed out all these posters and they spent the entire weekend putting them up along the street.

"The kids love Rosali and played with her all the time when she was around. They are heartbroken about it."

Toddler Rachel’s twin brother Danni, 3, and siblings George, 8, Bridie, 10, teenager Charlotte and Charlie, 17, all desperately want the tiny puppy back.

She was too young to be microchipped, which would have been done at 14 weeks, and so cannot be traced.
