A Bexleyheath nursery has celebrated its official opening with a visit from mayor Sharon Massey and a good Ofsted rating.

The Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery, on the junction of Broadway and Sandford Road has moved into the offices of the former job centre which lay empty for two years before Parv Choudhury, 37, and his wife Jenny, 32, came along to transform the building.

The Ofsted report said: "Children benefit from a welcoming, well organised, inclusive setting. They have access to a wide range of good quality resources and play materials.

"Staff work closely with parents and keep them well informed about their children. .

Mr Choudhury told the News Shopper: "We waited especially for when she had a free moment in her diary to come and do the official opening.

"The children loved her gold medal and they demonstrated a theatre lesson, it was a pretty mad afternoon."

The father-of-two added that his daughter's were proud to be part of the nursery with Ellie 10, working as the marketing consultant designing posters and Emily, eight, working as the toy consultant.

He added: "We are growing really fast and are looking for a qualified early years teacher and a few nursery nurses to join our team.

"We are one of the fastest growing nurseries in our franchise and really proud of our achievements so far."
