GRAVESEND was one the warmest places in the UK yesterday.
After weeks of relentless rain the sunshine was welcome relief as the country basked in glorious sunshine.
The north Kent town, famous as one of the country's warmest spots, topped the mercury at 14C (57F).
Forecasters say the rain will return later this week, while temperatures will remain mild with highs of 12C (54F) in the South.
