THE first music act has been announced for the Sundance London Film Festival, which takes place at the O2 from April 25 to 27.
South London band Archive will perform at Brooklyn Bowl on the opening night.
The band will also present the world premiere of their film Axiom as well as a post-screening Q&A.
Archive finished recording the AXIOM album earlier this year and immediately began working on the accompanying film with Spanish film collective NYSU.
Band member Darius Keeler said: "It's so exciting. We're just proud and honoured to be part of such a prestigious event. It's going to be an epic night, we can't wait!"
The festival will host the same number of films as previous years, but features an expanded filmmaker development programme with the return of the Sundance London Short Film Competition and a Shorts Workshop.
The competition – for UK filmmakers with shorts between three and five minutes – is open for entries until March 3, with a theme of Making A Go Of It: Moving Forward in Life, Love or Loss and the Pursuit of Inspiration.
The Shorts Workshop for aspiring filmmakers is on April 26 at the O2’s Cineworld and is led by Mike Plante, the short film programmer for Sundance. Tickets cost £100.
