A CHIHUAHUA was stolen at knifepoint from an Orpington home on Saturday night (February 22).
The incident took place at around 8.45pm in a house off Sevenoaks Way.
The owner of the dog, who did not want to be named, said: "Basically there was a knock on the door and my little boy's dad looked out the door and there was a man wearing a hoodie.
"He opened the door and three men burst into the house and started hitting him.
"They pulled a knife on him and made him sit on the sofa.
"They started saying 'where's the money'. They went upstairs and started rummaging through my stuff, they went through my jewellery.
"Then they went back downstairs. They tried to take all three of my chihuahuas but they were only able to take one.
"I'm desperate to get him back. I'll offer a large reward to whoever can return him."
A police spokesman said: "Three men forced their way into a property when the door was opened, punching the 42-year-old occupant a number of times.
"The suspects then took a small safe from the property, which contained a small quantity of jewellery, and also took one of three chihuahua dogs that was in a cage before fleeing the scene.
"The suspects are described as white males, aged between 25 and 35."
Anyone with any information should call the police on 101.
