A TEENAGE girl was rugby tackled to the ground by a female robber as two men in ski masks searched her coat and ran off with her mobile phone.

The 19-year-old victim was walking home from college when she heard a noise behind her and was attacked on a footpath in Havelock Road, Gravesend between 9pm and 9.25pm on Thursday, February 6.

Police have released a computer-generated image of a teenage girl they would like to speak to in connection with the terrifying incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

While the girl was on the floor, two other males arrived and began searching her coat and found a mobile phone.

After a brief tussle, they snatched the phone and all three suspects ran off in the direction of Mayfield Road.

The victim suffered a minor cut to her mouth as a result of the incident.

The female suspect has been described as white, between 15 and 16 years old, about 5ft 2ins tall, with shoulder-length brown hair and a chubby face.

She was wearing a dark coloured puffa jacket with a hood and diamond stitching.

Both of the males were white and wore ski masks and a dark coloured tracksuit.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Shaun Ravate of Kent Police, said: "While incidents of this nature are thankfully few and far between in Gravesham, it was nonetheless a frightening experience for the victim.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who might recognise the person in this image or who might have information about this robbery, to contact me immediately."
