A 'PEACE bus' has launched in Lewisham aiming to help make it become one of the safest boroughs in London.
Working with pupils from Lewisham schools, teenagers, community groups and representatives from Lewisham Council, police and bus companies all boarded the adopted 181 bus for a trip from Sedgehill School to Second Wave Youth Arts Centre in Deptford.
Sedgehill teenagers interviewed the passengers and are creating a film they will use to highlight the challenge of working together to be more considerate and understanding on buses.
In the future, they hope to spread the project across the whole borough.
Barry Mizen said: "We are so proud of all the work for peace in Lewisham, the Peace Buses are just the latest step in our journey towards making Lewisham the safest and most peaceful borough in London.
"This is for all our children, not just our Jimmy."
