THE parents of murdered Lee teenager Jimmy Mizen said their MBE was in memory of the 16-year-old.
Barry and Margaret Mizen have been untiring in their campaign for peace since Jimmy was murdered back in 2008.
And they were joined at Buckingham Palace last week by the rest of their children, who looked on as the Prince of Wales presented their award.
Mr Mizen said: "The focus is on us today, but I am so pleased that the rest of our children are here.
"They loved Jimmy. He was an amalgam of all his brothers and so to meet any one of Jimmy's brothers is to meet Jimmy. He was a great lad - God bless you, Jimmy."
The Mizens, who run the Jimmy Mizen Foundation, are moving ahead with plans for a festival on Blackheath this summer. The Good Hope Festival is planned for August 2 and 3.
