A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was stabbed during an assault in Woolwich on Wednesday morning (February 12).

Police were called at around 8.15am police to reports of a GBH in Vincent Road.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was walking down Vincent Road, when he was stabbed in the shoulder from behind by an unknown man.

The attacker ran away towards Burrage Road.

London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to hospital. He sustained injuries in his shoulder but has since been discharged.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5ft 9ins tall, wearing a black body warmer and grey hooded top which he wore to cover his face.

Detective Constable Fiona Genovese from Greenwch police said: ‘We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or to anyone with information to contact us."
