A CHARLTON mechanic who sexually assaulted a woman at his garage has been placed on the sex offender register for five years.
John Kirk, aged 58, sexually touched the woman as she delivered car supplies to his JK Autos business on the New Lydenburg Industrial Estate last June.
Kirk, of New Lydenburg Street, was found guilty at Bromley Magistrates' Court on February 4 of intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over.
The mechanic, who had denied the offence, was placed on the sex offender register for five years.
He must also attend 12 sessions with a sexual offences treatment officer, serve 120 hours of community service and pay £60 compensation to the victim, along with £400 in costs.
