IT WAS a happy day for youngsters at a Woolwich class who got lucky with a surprise appearance from music superstar Pharrell Williams.
The singer and producer has worked with some of the biggest names in music - from Daft Punk, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake to Jay-Z - but he got to put Woolwich Dockyard children through their paces last week.
Currently riding high in the charts with Happy, the star dropped into a Theatrebugs class at the Clockhouse Community Centre, leading the children in a dance to his latest hit.
Bina Brown from Theatrebugs Greenwich explained: "My Theatrebugs teacher Queen Allen was cast in a documentary about a day in the life of a Pharrell fan.
"They were filming Queen's class at the Clockhouse Community Centre, which was full of 3 to 4-year-olds, and, whilst dancing to the Happy song, Pharrell surprised her by turning up.
"He walked in and busted some moves with Queen and the children.
"He was an absolute gentlemen and was brilliant with the children too. He was very down to earth and had no big entourage or anything - he was simply lovely."
She added: "The fact that he was in the middle of Woolwich Dockyard without anyone realising is just massive."
The footage is being used as part of MasterCard's Priceless Surprises campaign and will be aired during the Brit Awards next Wednesday (February 19).
