AN ELDERLY woman was rescued after her mobility scooter lost power and became stuck in flood water in Dartford town centre today.

The lady was travelling through the underpass in Home Gardens near Dartford County Court when she became trapped.

South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene at 11.04am on Thursday and helped the lady to safety and took her home.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We received a call just after 11am about this incident but we did not attend."

Passer-by Sam Thomas told the News Shopper: "The lady was ok, she was just a bit shaken up. The underpass has been flooded for a while."

It's more to the point, were warning signs displayed?. That is the responsibility of a caring council. Is Dartford Council or Kent County Council, caring councils?.

It's blame each other when something goes wrong!

Perhaps she thought she could get through - like numerous car drivers who get stuck in floods?
