TRIBUTES have been paid by friends and teachers of Bromley College student Sasha Steadman, who died last week from a suspected drug overdose.

Sasha died at her home in Upper Park Road, Bromley, last Tuesday.

The teenager was studying art and design at the Orpington campus of Bromley College.

In tributes left on Facebook she is described as a "an amazing person " who "always had such a beautiful smile".

Leon Hopcraft said: "Rest in perfect peace lil cousin, will never forget the good and bad times we have shared together also your fantastic laugh which will be missed by many people!

"You're in a better place now so sleep tight, Love You Millions See You Soon."

Becky Nicolson added: "Sasha, can't believe what's happened, you was and are a truly lovely girl, always had such a beautiful smile! Will never forget you!

"Going to miss you so much, love you lots. Sweet dreams hunny."

A shrine has been set up outside Sasha's home.

Ellen Griffiths said: "Sasha I can't believe you're gone - you literally had the best smile and you were just an amazing person."

Gabriel Meurer Wilde said: "No one ever had a single bad word to say about you and you were nothing but a joy to be around. The brightest candle often burns the quickest.

"You will be missed greatly Sasha and it’s a shame your time came so quickly but I'm thankful for the positive impact you made in the world. God bless you."

Bromley College Principal Sam Parrett told News Shopper: "Bromley College staff and students were very saddened to hear the news and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.

"Sasha joined the College in September last year enrolling on a BTEC Art and Design course. She was a popular and talented student.

"Counselling support has been offered to the staff and students who knew her."

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 4.56pm on January 28 to an incident at an address in Upper Park Road.

"We sent a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew and a duty officer to the scene.

"Sadly one person, a girl reported to be 16, was dead at the scene."
