LONDON'S Air Ambulance has released some vintage photos after celebrating its 25th anniversary.
One black and white picture shows the day the organisation was created in January 1989 and another reveals a memorable landing at the Tower of London.
The organisation has treated more than 30,000 critically injured people and attended most major incidents in the capital since being formed.
In March 2012 it became the first service to carry blood on board and deliver roadside blood transfusions.
The charity, which depends on donations, is urging Londoners to help fundraise for a second helicopter.
Medical Director, Doctor Gareth Davies, said: "There are people who have survived serious injury in London that would not have in other countries."
