SYDENHAM School is calling for former pupils to mentor current students.
In partnership with the charity Future First, the school in Dartmouth Road has created an alumni scheme aimed at engaging the community.
As part of the initiative, former pupils can sign up online and act in a variety of inspiring roles.
In starting Future First’s innovative new scheme the school has joined a network that encompasses more than 50,000 former students across Britain.
Managing director Alex Shapland-Howes said: "It’s really important for all students to be motivated to succeed in the working world and hearing first hand from relatable people in interesting jobs can make a huge difference."
Former students can sign up to Future First’s alumni scheme at futurefirst.org.uk by clicking on the "Former students" link.
