WORKERS on the DLR will go on strike for for two days after a "total breakdown of industrial relations" between staff and operator Serco.
The first 24-hour strike begins on the morning of January 29, with a second taking place on February 4.
Union RMT blames the stalling of talks, use of agency and contract staff and failures of training and development for the walk-out.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said: "It is solely down to the actions of the Serco DLR management that RMT has had to announce industrial action across Docklands Light Railway to try and force the issues at the heart of this dispute to be both addressed and resolved.
"Our members have now shown the level of anger across the railway in an overwhelming mandate for action."
