FIREFIGHTERS rushed to pump out eight Swanley properties which had become submerged in flooding on Friday (Jan 17).
As north Kent was hit by extreme weather, Kent Fire and Rescue Service was deluged by calls from desperate residents in need of help.
Swanley was particularly hard hit and one crew was called to Pinks Hill to help pump away flood water affecting approximately eight properties.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Members of the public are reminded we does not attend every incident and you should only call for immediate assistance if there is a risk to life or serious property damage."
