DRIVERS were held up during rush hour this morning after a truck parked in Bexley village blocking the single lane carriageway.

Cars were backed up for over a mile into North Cray Road as drivers sat attempting to overtake the truck which had pulled up opposite the Coach and Horses pub.

It is a problem of their own making. This would not happen if Bexley Village residents ahd not rejected the chance of a by-pass!

Bypass would solve it indeed, probably about time that was proposed again, it's about once every 15 years. It wouldn't even be that difficult to construct route it, they've deliberately left the land empty for that reason.
The link betweeen the two arterial routes of the A2 and A20 still goes through a tiny narrow village with weight restrictions and speed bumps, crazy....

Happens often - there is nowhere for delivery trucks to park other than on the road

So a member of NS staff got stuck, why not cover every traffic jam that happens
