AN ACTIVITY centre in Gravesend has announced it will host events on the BMX calendar which will bring more than 2,000 riders to the park.
Events at the Cyclopark centre at The Tollgate, Watling Street, will include the South Regional on March 30 where anyone can turn up and ride in the novice or expert category of the competition.
Experienced BMX athletes can show off their skills at the National Series on April 12 and 13 where they will be judged on bike control, speed of reactions and general resilience.
Cyclopark’s chief executive Laurence Tricker said: "This is great news for the park achieving recognition for the national standard 330 metre BMX track and coaching.
"This type of racing is one of the most exciting forms of cycle sport; both to watch and take part in, the races are non-stop action.
"Our taster and coaching sessions have become increasingly popular since Mark Seaman, British Cycling Talent Team Coach, joined our coaching team."
