SIDCUP youngsters have been showing off a dazzling array of circus skills.

Bird College of Dance, Music and Theatre Performance in Birkbeck Road offered 45 children aged five to 16 a masterclass in skills including hula hooping, plate spinning, tightrope walking and more.

The college was founded in 1946 by Doreen Bird who was aged 18 at the time and has offered thousands of young people the chance to develop their talents.

Head of Junior Dance Bonnie Roots said: "It was absolutely brilliant. They did juggling, balancing, used the unicycle.

"It took a around three hours and the kids loved it."
