A POLICE car with a massive crack in its windscreen has been spotted near a Bickley pub this morning.

The crack was visible on the passenger side of the car which was parked behind another by a mini-roundabout yards from The Chequers pub in Southborough Lane at 8.40am.

An ambulance is at the scene and another police car was seen speeding to the area shortly afterwards though it is not yet known what has happened.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 8.46am to Southborough Lane to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

"Two ambulance crews, a single responder in a car and a duty officer attended the scene.

"We treated one patient, a 24-year-old man, for a minor head injury.

"He was taken to King's College Hospital as a priority."
