QUESTION Time returns to New Cross tonight - with a protest planned before the show.

Protestors are due to gather outside Goldsmiths at 5.30pm ahead of the BBC One political discussion programme.

When the show last visited a year ago, the threatened downgrade of Lewisham Hospital's A&E dominated the discussion.

Though Jeremy Hunt's plans were sent packing in the courts, campaigners are concerned that changes to the law could see a fresh attempt made.

The show also comes as cuts continue to bite, with Lewisham Council needing to slash its budgets and the closure of Downham fire station today.

Guests tonight will include Tory MP Nadine Dorries - who appeared to back the hospital campaign on the show before turning her back on it days later.

Norman Baker MP, Streatham's Labour representative Chuka Umunna, Paul Nuttall of UKIP and the Mirror's Susie Boniface - better known as blogger Fleet Street Fox - will also appear.

The show starts at 10.35pm. Audience tickets have already been allocated.
