SWANLEY Library is currently closed after being forced to close for more than two weeks due to damage caused by dramatic Christmas weather.
The roof was affected by the storm on December 23 and was worsened by the subsequent heavy rainfall.
Power cuts later caused the facility in London Road to close and UK Power Networks said repairs could not be done until the rood was repaired.
A Swanley Town Council spokesman said: "We arranged for roofing contractors to attend as a matter of urgency and it is hoped that power will be restored once inspection and testing has been completed, probably on Wednesday, with the library opening again on Friday if this is successful."
