BEECROFT Garden Primary School in Brockley has received the top rating in every area following an Ofsted inspection.

Following a two-day visit in November, inspectors rated the achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership and management as outstanding.

And they singled out executive headteacher Glenys Ingham, work with parents, attitudes to learning and lesson planning for specific praise.

The school was rated satisfactory following a previous inspection back in 2011.

Ms Ingham said: "We are all absolutely delighted that our school has been rated outstanding. We have wonderful children who love learning, highly skilled staff who always give 100 per cent and a huge amount of support from parents and the local community.

"It’s thanks to this strong partnership that the school has become so successful and this accolade from Ofsted is well deserved."
