CHRISTMAS came early in Orpington as youngsters from a local school took part in two quirky nativity performances.
The children of Crofton Junior School, aged eight and nine, put together The Good, the Bad and the Donkey while the four and five-year-old nippers of Crofton Infant School performed Whoops a Daisy Angel.

Sarah Branwood, Senior Assistant Head of Crofton Junior School, said: "The children enjoyed learning their lines and song words and performed confidently.
"A small dedicated group of parents spent hours making costumes, sewing tinsel on angel wings and making halos.
"Everyone agreed that the results were amazing."
Head teacher of Crofton Infant School Anne Allen added: "Parents supported the cast by providing some wonderful costumes and being an appreciative audience.
"A fantastic time was had by all."

The Good, the Bad and the Donkey is a modern interpretation of the nativity, where Doris the Donkey transports Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem just in time for the birth of baby Jesus.
Meanwhile Whoops a Daisy Angel tells the story an angel who keeps making mistakes.
