CHRISTMAS wouldn’t be Christmas without a few family feuds to pass the time.

Today we take you through 10 common causes of Christmas spats.

- Wrapping paper – the children are up early to rip open their presents, but who’s responsible for keeping the house tidy before more guests arrive…..Fight!

– New DVDS and Games –Children love to scrap over who gets to watch their new DVD or try out their new game first.

– Chocolates before dinner – selection boxes for Christmas always leads to over-indulgence, even before dinner. Mum won’t be happy if you’re full before the turkey arrives

– Christmas dinner – The designated chef is bound to get stressed as dinner time approaches. Stay out of the kitchen if you can’t stand the heat!

– TV remote – you’re all full from dinner and sit down to relax and watch TV, but there’s far too much choice. Who gets to choose? Fight!

– Board games – if you decide that no TV is best, a family game always leads to competition and a sore loser.

– Too much bubbly – if you’ve been drinking since breakfast, things could well get heated by mid afternoon.

– In-laws – spending a whole day with the in-laws can be tough. The first hour is fine, but once the small talk has been exhausted, the sherry finished and the dinner gone – the patience begins to thin.

– Washing up – After the feast of dinner and a relaxing break, the dishes must be washed, it’s not a small job – but someone has to do it.

– Christmas soap operas – always an hour long, the soaps are a must-watch, but there’s always someone who isn’t a fan and won’t watch without a fight.
