AN OVERTURNED lorry reportedly full of greyhounds caused chaos on the M25 earlier this morning.

Two lanes were closed and there was queueing traffic and long delays due to the incident on M25 anticlockwise between Junction 4 A21 / A224 (Orpington) and Junction 3 M20 / A20 (Swanley Interchange).

A man in his 60s was checked over but no one was taken to hospital.

Traffic was queueing just past Juction 4.

Lanes one and two closed, following the incident at around 12.10pm but all lanes are now back to normal.

A tweet from Kent 999s said: "M25 update: Overturned van on M25 earlier contained 11 greyhounds going to race meet tonight. All dogs & driver okay."

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "We attended the scene just after midday near the Swanley junction to reports that a car and a lorry had collided.

"A man in his 60s needed checking over. One ambulance sent but left after an hour and no one was taken to hospital."
