A WOMAN has pleaded guilty to throwing fruit and vegetables in a Woolwich street and swearing repeatedly at police officers.
Vicky Thornman, 31, of Overton Road, Abbey Wood, admitted one count of using threatening words and behaviour in the street causing alarm and distress at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Dec 17).
The court heard the offence took place on December 2 this year in Greensend, Woolwich, where police were called to reports of Thornman being drunk in the street and attacking people in the Wimpy restaurant.
Prosecuting Rachel Marney said: "She was swinging her arms around and when police arrived she continued abusing them calling them c***s and whores.
"Even after she was arrested the profamites continued to the police. She called one officer a blonde whore.
"When ambulance staff tried to help her the abuse continued."
The court heard Thornman has an “alcohol problem” and was described as “charming when sober, but a nightmare when drunk'.
Magistrate Christine Groothedes said as Thornman had spent 12 hours in custody after the offence and had served her time she could go free from the court.
