A PROJECT manager from Bexleyheath had his trousers and car stolen while he was swimming at a leisure centre.
The 51-year-old, who did not want to be named, got back to the changing rooms at the Crook Log Leisure Centre to find his locker wide open.
While he had been for a swim as his seven-year-old son had a lesson, thieves stole his trousers along with his car and house keys, iPhone 4 and a gold watch.
Police were called to the Brampton Road centre at 5.30pm on December 4 to reports a number of lockers had been broken into in the poolside changing area.
The victim’s Audi A4 convertible was seen on CCTV being driven away.
A spokesman for Crook Log operators Parkwood Leisure said: “It is very unfortunate this incident occurred.
“This is a rare occurrence and we are working very closely with the local police in order to try and solve this crime.
“We employ a number of robust systems to try to reduce the incidents of theft within our leisure centres including CCTV cameras, access control measures and regular patrols by centre staff.
“There are a number of secure lockers within the centre which we suggest customers should be using.”
Anyone with any information should contact Bexley Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
