A PRIMARY school in Bromley is ranked second best in the country according to league tables.

Chislehurst (St Nicholas) Church of England Primary School, has been ranked 13 overall in the BBC’s Primary school’s league table.

But if you look at schools which have more than 30 pupils in year six, the results are much different.

There is only one school in the whole of England which has a higher average points score than St Nick’s.

St Nicholas’s head teacher John Paddington said, “It’s extraordinary.

“We’ve been within the top 100 before but to be second is an amazing result.”

The school is not just delighted about their academic achievement but is proud that they have successful sports teams as well.

Mr. Paddington said: “The boys who are the best at football for example are also the best at maths and things like that.”
