MILLWALL players took time out from the Championship to visit sick children at Lewisham Hospital.
The players, joined by Zampa the Lion, were also treated to a performance by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, singing their Christmas single A Bridge Over You.
Afterwards, captain Paul Robinson, Alan Dunne and Scott McDonald came onto the children’s wards to hand out gifts and show their support for patients, families and staff.
Paul Robinson said: "Millwall have always been huge supporters of Lewisham Hospital and their amazing staff. They serve the local community tirelessly, and the choir's song is the perfect tribute to their dedication. I hope it makes it all the way to number one."
Senior hospital play specialist Sharon Justice said: "The children always love to see the players at Christmas and it is fantastic to see their faces when they meet their heroes."
