The first apartments which form part of a 392-home development in Slade Green have now gone on sale – and already 42 of them have been reserved.

All of the apartments at Ratio can be bought through Help to Buy – which means they can be reserved with a five per cent deposit. Prices on the apartments start at just £169,995 for a two bedroom property. Work on the development by Redrow Homes started in July and the first homes should be ready by late January.

In total 392 homes are being built at the former Howbury Centre off Slade Green Road. There will be a mixture of two, three and four bedroom designs and the whole development should be completed in 2016.

Redrow will also be building a new neighbour- hood shop and providing open amenity space for public use. The site will also be home to new and redeveloped facilities created by Bexley council, including a multi-functional community centre and two all-through primary schools.

The properties will range from two-bedroom apartments to townhouses and three and four-bedroom family homes.

Redrow will also be building a new neighbourhood shop and providing open amenity space for public use. The site will be home to new and redeveloped facilities created by the London Borough of Bexley, including a multi-functional community centre and two all-through primary schools.

Kerry Jenkins, head of sales for Redrow Homes (South East), said: “Ratio has already proved hugely popular with Kent home- buyers who want to be within commuting distance of the city without paying inflated London prices. The apartments represent an affordable option for purchasers searching for an open-plan, low maintenance and secure home.”
