OUTSTANDING achievers have been rewarded for their efforts at Bromley College’s annual award ceremony.

The event showcased the achievements of 15 students and 16 awards were also given out to staff who have made a positive impact on their colleagues and students.

Winners included Amy King, from Bexley, who won the News Shopper sponsored Outstanding Student of the Year Award (pictured below).

She was also awarded the Principal’s Award which is given for exceptional achievement.

College principal Sam Parrett said: “Amy excelled tremendously as part of our A Level Academy.

“An exemplary student, she always strived to produce the highest quality work.

“Outside of college she inspires females to get into chemistry with her blog on the Royal Society of Chemistry’s website and her own organisation called Glamchem.”

Miss King is now studying for her masters degree in chemistry at the University of Greenwich.

She said: “I can’t believe I’ve won two awards - I’m over the moon.

“I’ve loved my time at Bromley College; it’s been amazing.

“My tutors have supported me hugely, and I wouldn’t be where I am today, studying for my masters in chemistry at the University of Greenwich, without them.”
