A JURY in the trial of an Eltham scaffolder accused of murdering his brother after their sibling's funeral has been discharged.
Mark Hayes, aged 53, was accused of murdering his brother Sean Hayes outside the defendant's home in Eltham Green Road in the early hours of April 27.
The 48-year-old was stabbed to death after the wake of his brother Tommy on April 26 where there had been friction and violence between family members, the Old Bailey trial had heard.
But the jury in the case was discharged today (November 6) after failing to reach a verdict.
