CYCLISTS took to the Kent countryside en mass last weekend for a social ride organised by bike firm Evans.
Around 1,000 riders – 600 on mountain bikes and 400 on road bikes – took off from Fairchildes Primary School in Biggin Hill on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2, on rides up to 90 miles.
The included Paul Fitzgerald who dressed as Batman to raise money for a Biggin Hill child recently diagnosed with lymphoma.
The Evans Rideit events have been running on a not-for-profit basis for five years as a way to give customers a relaxed and friendly.
Everyone who buys a bike from Evans gets a free voucher to enter one event.
